A strong sensory brand fingerprint is critical to long term success of a brand. Brand value erodes over time when renovations and innovations don’t align with the current equity and sensory expectations. 

This session will start with a ten-minute summary of the keys to success for brand extensions and introduce to the audience the importance of understanding a product’s brand fingerprint using the Pringles brand as an example. This presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion with a panel of corporate researchers from Bayer, Sabra, and Nestle to discuss approaches to research to understand a product’s brand fingerprint and how to extend those qualities in the design of new products for different use contexts.
